Item Description
The Okorusu Mine is one of the most significant Fluorite producing localities in the world. It is world renowned for producing some of the most attractive specimens of this beloved species in the world. I can honestly say outside of blood red, I have seen Fluorite specimens in virtually every color of the rainbow (that includes black and colorless). This piece is from a discovery circia 2009. This cabinet sized display specimen hosts dozens of well-formed, razor-sharp, lustrous, gemmy, cubic crystals measuring up to 2.2 cm on edge which show classic internal "phantoms" with a mix of green, blue and purple hues inside sitting on sparkling Quartz on host rock matrix. In some spots, you can see directly through the some of Fluorites to the underlying matrix. I can see a few small nicks, but the piece is in excellent condition overall, and considering it's crystallized on all sides (it's nearly a complete "floater" specimen) it would make a fantastic addition to any collection. Valued at $1,800 in the inventory.
