Item Description
The Okorusu Mine is hands down of the most prolific operating localities in the world for Fluorite. I've seen virtually every shade of Fluorite - including colorless and black - from this mine, which when combined with superb quality of the crystals makes for some truly impressive specimens. This piece is from a discovery dating back a couple years and features dozens of superb, sharp, gemmy, multicolor cubic crystals measuring up to 1.7 cm on edge. The front side of the piece features classic purple, blue and green hues, but the back of the specimen (which is also crystallized) shows more interesting pink, magenta, golden and even smoky hues. When backlit, the crystals are really attractive, and some feature lovely internal "phantoms". Now there are few contacts, but many of the crystals are pristine, and considering it's crystallized all the way around, it would make a fantastic addition to any collection. Valued at $1,200 in the inventory.
