Item Description
This specimen consists of numerous gemmy, well-formed penetration twins to 1.9 cm on edge, surrounded by smaller fluorite crystals, on limestone matrix. Collected from the Birthday Pocket, summer 2002. It is a classic and large example of the fine, deepest green fluorite coming out of modern remining at this old locale. Note the so-called day-glow purple fluorescence when the piece is placed in normal daylight. It GLOWS with intense purple atop the native green color. These are gorgeous pieces, and I think extremely cheap for what you get in significance and color impact for an English fluorite. That will end when the mine closes again) and prices go up. Valued $900-1000
