Item Description
A showy and VERY FINE, bi-colored, CABINET specimen of large, intergrown, translucent, fluorite cubes from the famous Blanchard Mine of New Mexico. The lustrous cubes have pretty blue-green cores with gorgeous teal-blue edges. The prominent large cube is 4.5 x 4.2 cm - LARGE for the locality! The photos highlight the translucency and color saturations, including the teal-blue edges. The preferential coating of two generations of micro-crystalline quartz and even some green brochantite is a very nifty accent. All of the many major fluorite cubes are pristine. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but in the overall context is a only a trivial detraction. This is outstanding older material with great and uncommon color - they just are not on the market. Ex Chris Cowan Collection and fairly valued at $900 on his label - came to us in a trade at the same.
