Fluorite inclusion in Quartz (published)

Item Description

Sharp, very sculptural combination piece of a gemmy, lustrous 5.7 cm Smoky Quartz crystal attached to a complete, flattened, very light Smoky quartz sidecar. This is from the old military tungsten mine that produced so much until the early 90s and then was closed for economic reasons. What makes this truly exceptional is the bright green octahedral Fluorite included within the large smoky Quartz. Such inclusions are highly unusual. It is so notable in fact, that is was featured in the book "Magic World: Inclusions in Quartz".
