Fluorite (''ice'' crystals) on scepter Quartz with Helvine

A big showy association specimen from the famed Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia featuring several very gemmy, sharp, completely colorless, octahedral ''ice'' crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 2.5 cm across sitting atop a matrix composed of hundreds of thin Quartz crystals that show beautiful detailed crystallization, including some gorgeous scepter habits! There are several little rich peachy-orange colored tetrahedral crystals of Helvine on the piece, plus some layered metallic gray Lollingite groups for a nice touch! Some of the Quartz crystals are even doubly-terminated when you look closely. The Fluorites live up to their nickname of ''ice'' crystals as they are devoid of color (which actually means they are chemically pure, as impurities create the color). The desirable "jackstraw" nature of the Quartz crystals makes for such a showy and presentable display piece. Fine quality and really different from most pieces you'll see from this locality.
