Fluorite (''ice'' crystal)

A showy miniature sized specimen from the famed Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia featuring a predominant, very gemmy, sharp, completely colorless, cuboctahedral ''ice'' crystal of Fluorite measuring 3.8 cm across sitting atop a matrix composed of little Quartz crystals and black Sphalerite. The Fluorite definitely lives up to the nickname of ''ice'' crystals as it is devoid of color (which actually means they are chemically pure, as impurities create the color). No major damage to the Fluorite, though I can see a small "rub" on one of the edges. Valued $1,200.
