Item Description

Fluorites are known from thousands of localities around the world, but a few years ago there was a new find of some beautiful yellow material in Morocco. The stones exhibit a beautiful greenish-yellow color in incandescent lighting, and shifts slightly to a golden-yellow color in sunlight. Now the color in sunlight is truly the optimal color for the material, and these gems remind me of certain Fluorites from Hardin County, Illinois that perform the same kind of color change. This "Quantum Oval" cut (it has concave faceting on the pavillion to create the bright internal reflection) stone is a fantastic example of this material and one of the largest we've ever offered from Morocco. The clarity would be described as VVS, and is very good quailty for this material. This is the only piece I have to offer of these attractive gems, so do not miss out on this one.
