Item Description
These are some of the most eye-catching and desirable green Fluorites to come out of any locality in decades. They have a quite unique green color that is distinctive from Fluorites from other localities, with notably sharp octahedral form. This small cabinet sized features well-formed, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, beautiful green color octahedral crystals free of matrix, but what REALLY sets this one apart from the majority of other Riemvasmaak specimens is that it actually features a couple small golden cubic fluorite overgrowths. I honestly don't remember seeing a specimen from this locality with cubic overgrowths like this! The piece is in good shape overall, and it's obviously contacted on the edges where it was removed from the pocket wall, but the little cubes make it stand out in a sea of hundreds of specimens from this prolific discovery. The largest green octahedral Fluorite measures 4.3 cm while the golden cubes measure up to 6 mm. Valued in the inventory at $1,600 due to the rare second generation Fluorites.
