Item Description
A single, startlingly sparkling gemstone of beautiful rich pink fluorite, cut from these rare crystals that occur in the high alpine pegmatites of Pakistan. Pegmatitic fluorite is rare, gemmy examples more so - and Pakistan makes the most famous ones! But, we see crystals and seldom find large cut stones. This 54.45 carat stone is a rich color and a finely cut gem to show an example of cut pink fluorite. This specimen is part of the 2023 Dallas Mineral Collecting Symposium benefit auction, with proceeds benefiting Mineralogical Record, Rocks & Minerals, Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, and mindat.org.
