Item Description

The world-class Fluorite specimens from the historic Rogerley Mine in North England are some of the most recognized examples of the species extant. Their fantastic color, crystal form and sheer visual appeal has made them incredibly popular with dealers and collectors. This piece features fine quality, sharp, lustrous, GEM quality, rich emerald green color, interpenetrant twinned crystals (on a cube-diagonal twinning axis as often seen from this locality) with individual crystals measuring up to 1.6 cm on matrix. Some of the smaller secondary crystals have a white hue in the interior, almost resembling ice crystals growing inside. The larger crystals have great color saturation. The piece has a few imperfections, but is a very attractive representation of this most classic material. The piece also shows the typical daylight purple fluorescence that is often seen in Rogerley Fluorites. Priced at $2,400 in our inventory.
