Item Description
The famous Fluorites from the Rogerley Mine are some of the most recognized examples of the species extant. This piece is a sharp, GEM quality, rich emerald green color, interpenetrant twin on a cube-diagonal twinning axis (as often seen from this locality). This form is what makes these specimens so desirable from the English lead mines at Weardale. Great color saturation especially for the size, as Fluorites are not typically so richly colored in thumbnails like this. It has a few imperfections, but is a good representation of this most classic material. The piece shows the typical daylight purple fluorescence that is often seen in Rogerley Fluorites.
