Item Description
South Illinois Fluorites are some of the most recognizable representations from any locality in the United States. This piece features an intergrown group of sharp, GEMMY cubes which are predominantly golden in hue, but show beautiful purple (more blue in sunlight) "phantom" zoning on the exterior faces. The largest crystal measures 2.1 cm on edge. Only a little damage on the display side, but it is contacted on the base / back where it was removed from the pocket. This area is completely closed down and will never produce these specimens again. This piece comes to us from a recently purchased Midwest collection.
