Item Description

Here we have a lovely old Heights Mine thumbnail sized Fluorite specimen featuring an interpenetrant twinned pair of sharp, lustrous, very gemmy, soft purple colored cubic Fluorite crystals measuring up to 1.5 cm on edge which are actually sitting an additional penetration twin (partially obscured) of Fluorite underneath. The piece is in excellent shape all around, and the only rough areas are around the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. The piece not only fluoresces under SW UV light, but also show the classic Weardale daylight fluorescence which shows a beautiful rich purple hues. A wonderful example of these classic and iconic Fluorites. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12367). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
