Fluorite (gemmy cuboctahedra)

The Naica Mine is a world famous locality, probably best known around the world as the home of the famous "Cave of Swords", which is a giant series of the most exemplary Gypsum crystals in the world. With that said, this mine has produced superb examples of many species including some truly iconic Fluorites. This gorgeous small cabinet sized specimen features several superb quality, very sharp, beautiful green and colorless GEMMY cuboctahedral crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 3.1 cm across with associated Pyrite and Sphalerite. My favorite aspect of the piece is that some of the Fluorites are so gemmy, that you can see directly inside of them to see that they actually hosts beautiful golden Pyrite crystal inclusions! The piece is in great shape on the display side, and while there is no true damage, there are some separation marks around the back of the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. This one was difficult to photograph, but it's very attractive in person and would make a fine addition to any Fluorite suite or a collection of minerals from Naica. We had this piece valued in the inventory at $2,500 for the overall quality and displayability of the piece.
