Fluorite (GEMMY crystals)

Fluorites from the now classic Shangbao Mine are some of the finest crystallized examples of the species from any Chinese locality. This piece is a fantastic miniature display specimen featurin an intergrown group of VERY GEMMY, beautiful purple color cubes of Fluorite with minor associated Dolomite free of matrix. The crystals have a slight darker purple "phantom" zoning on the outermost edge, but the centers of the crystals are so transparent that you can see straight through them to the back / base of the specimen. The piece is in great shape overall with only a few minor imperfections on the edges. Good Fluorites from China are certainly drying up on the market, especially from localities like Shangbao where very little has been found in recent years.
