Item Description
The prodigious Naica Mine certainly is one of the most prolific localities in all of Mexico. Not only is this impressive mine the home of the most exemplary Gypsum crystals ever discovered (the famous "Cave of Swords") but it has produced superb examples of many other mineral species, including some truly iconic Fluorites. Here we have a wonderful small cabinet sized specimen featuring multiple fine quality, sharp, VERY gemmy crystals of pale green Fluorite which are associated with minor silvery Galena, plus micro Calcite and a tiny bit of Pyrite. The Fluorite crystals show a combination of dodecahedron and cube faces, and you can clearly see them all over. Very good quality, no major damage to display side of the piece. The largest crystal measrues 1.1 cm on edge. This one was difficult to capture in the video, but it's very attractive in person and would make a fine addition to any Fluorite suite or a collection of minerals from Naica.
