Fluorite (gemmy crystals)

The Fluorites from the Moscona Mine are excellent examples of the species, not just for Spain but anywhere. They don't get enough credit for the superior form, sharpness, luster and gemminess. This is a classic specimen of this famous material featuring dozens of highly lustrous, razor-sharp, well-formed, very gemmy golden colored of cubic crystals on matrix. The largest Fluorite crystal measures 6 mm on edge. The specimen is in great shape overall, and it displays beautifully as you can see. Only a tiny amount of roughness can be seen in a few spots. The Fluorite crystals are so gemmy and they were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district.
