Fluorite (gemmy crystals)

Item Description

An eye-catching full cabinet-sized example of the famous Moscona Fluorites. I really feel that these pieces do not get enough credit for their quality and color, possibly due to the fact they were fairly common on the market, but they are still fine quality Fluorites regardless. This piece features dozens of rather lustrous, sharp, well-formed, very gemmy beautiful golden colored of cubic Fluorite crystals on minor matrix. The largest Fluorite crystal measures 6 mm on edge. The specimen is in great shape overall, and it displays beautifully as you can see. Only a tiny amount of roughness can be seen in a few spots. The Fluorite crystals are so gemmy and they were difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. A very worthwhile and attractive Fluorite specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district.
