Fluorite is found in thousands of world localities in a wide variety of colors and habits. The world-class contemporary Fluorite specimens from the Diana Maria Mine (inside the Rogerley Mine / Quarry) are some of the most recognized examples of the species extant. The vivid green color combined with the textbook cubic crystallization and showy display specimens make them highly desirable for collectors. This piece features good-sized sharp, lustrous, well-formed, rich green color, penetration twinned cubic crystals, with individual crystals measuring up to 1.3 cm on edge, on matrix. The crystals range from virtually WATER-CLEAR to more of a translucent quality. The transparent crystals show purple daylight fluorescence in sunlight, like many crystals from this locality.
