Item Description
A fantastic example of a classic interpenetrant twin (on a cube-diagonal twinning axis) Fluorite from the famous Rogerley Mine. This beautiful twinning habit is what makes these specimens so desirable from the English lead mines at Weardale. The twin on this specimen is not only very sharp and well-formed, but it's WATER CLEAR with that beautiful "Rogerley green" color indoors that shifts to the classic purple daylight fluorescence in sunlight. The specimen is not 100% pristine, as there are a few tiny nicks on the front, along with a separation mark where another Fluorite once grew, but it's JUICY and rich with color. These are modern classics, and some of the most eye-catching Fluorites around The piece also shows the classic bright purple UV fluorescence that is often seen in Rogerley Fluorites.
