Item Description
A beautiful example of a classic interpenetrant twin (on a cube-diagonal twinning axis) Fluorite from the famous Rogerley Mine. This classic twinning habit is what makes these specimens so desirable from the English lead mines at Weardale. The twin on this specimen is not only very sharp and well-formed, but it's WATER CLEAR with that iconic "Rogerley green" color indoors which shifts to the eye-catching purple daylight fluorescence in sunlight. The front of the piece is in good shape, but the surrounding area around the base / back of the piece is contacted, so the specimen is not 100% pristine. These are some of the most eye-catching and high quality Fluorites in the modern age of mineral collecting.
