Fluorite (GEM twin)

Item Description

A fine, sharp, VERY gemmy (virtually WATER CLEAR), interpenetrant twin on a cube-diagonal twinning axis (as often seen from this locality). This form is what makes these specimens so desirable from the English lead mines at Weardale. Great color saturation for the size. A few minor nicks, but still in very good shape. The piece shows the classic purple fluorescence that is often seen in Rogerley Fluorites in both sunlight (daylight) and UV light.
