Item Description
A great quality, older Fluorite specimen from the famous pegmatite near Nagar. The piece was mined in the mid 1990's, and is one of the better pieces of this material (especially a twinned Fluorite) that I've offered in the auctions. A GEM quality, good-sized baby pink color Spinel-law twinned Fluorite crystal with well-defined, sharp faces. The crystal is certainly gemmy enough to cut a good-sized clean gemstone. Very little damage to speak of and displayable from several angles. I don't have to tell you how the value of Nagar Fluorites has risen over the years, and this is SUPERB representative twinned Fluorite specimen of this material from this classic Pakistani locality. This is an uncommon specimen from this area which commonly features etched, or highly modified pale pink and green crystals of Fluorite. Ex Herb Obodda specimen, and priced at $1600 in his inventory, but I would say it's easily worth $2500 on the retail market. BETTER IN PERSON, hard to photograph.
