Item Description
The famous Wise Mine Fluorite specimens are among the most famous Fluorites from any locality in New England. Many experienced collectors know these specimens for the excellent form, size, rich color and gemminess. This miniature sized specimen is a goody RICH green color octahedron of Fluorite with partial surface etching that makes from this famous New Hampshire mine. The piece is incredibly gemmy in the center, and would yield a large gemstone - conservatively 50 carats - which priced at a mere $20 per carat could be valued at $1,000. The piece is complete on the display side, but does show a cleavage on the back. Specimen weight is 74.30 grams (371.50 carats).
