Fluorite (GEM ''phantom'' crystals)

A truly striking and impressive miniature display specimen from the famous La Viesca Mine in Spain, which has been the source of some truly beautiful Fluorite specimens of any locality in Asturias. The piece hosts excellent, sharp, very lustrous, GEM quality, "stacked" cubic crystals of Fluorite with thin dodecahedral modifications on the edges measuring up to 2.8 cm on edge sitting on a layer of Quartz with minor matrix. The Fluorites, when backlit show beautiful internal "phantoms" with varying hues of purple and blue. Excellent condition, with no major damage. There are not many localities around the world that produce such impressive pieces of Fluorite like this with such attractive, fine quality crystals. It's important to mention that a lot of the Fluorites from this locality featuring a dense coverage of intergrown Fluorite cubes, but this one has distinct separation between some of the crystals, giving the piece more character and visual appeal.
