Item Description
This is a classic, sculptural specimen from the Xianghuapu Mine featuring a really eye-catching and aesthetic group of sharp, lustrous, green colored cubes (some of which show slight dodecahedral modifications on the edges) of Fluorite with WATER CLEAR clarity in areas. The cubes measure up to 1.4 cm on edge. They are "stacked" / intergrown in a way that formed an almost geometric growth pattern, but still resembles a piece of sculpted art. The VAST majority of the Fluorite crystals are undamaged and even back the of the piece is crystallized, so it's in great shape all around. A small deposition of beige pocket clay on the back of the crystals makes for a nice contrast and adds a sense of depth to the piece. If you collect Fluorites or minerals of China, don't miss out on this attractive piece from this prodigious specimen producing locality. Valued at $1,800 Ex Dr. Stephen Smale Collection.
