Fluorite (GEM crystals!)

Item Description

Here we have a nice group of sharp, lustrous, well-formed Fluorite crystals from this lesser known discovery at the Xia Yang Mine in China. The crystals measure up to 2.0 cm on edge, and feature a textbook combination of cube and dodecahedral faces. When the piece is backlit, you can see the crystals are WATER CLEAR / GEM QUALITY, and display a fantastic internal purple hue. The main crystal on the front of the specimen is in good shape, though a few small rough spots are visible. The accompanying Fluorites are the periphery are all unfortunately contacted, but they're still very gemmy. A nice reference specimen of this seldom seen material.
