Item Description

This is a wonderful miniature sized display specimen of this classic material from the Jaimina Mine in Spain. The piece features a prominent, GEM quality, soft purple color crystal of Fluorite measuring 2.1 cm on edge with minor Fluorite crystals and a tiny bit of matrix underneath. The main crystal is in very good condition, with no real damage that I can see. An mentioned, the main Fluorite crystal is WATER CLEAR and it was incredibly difficult to photograph, and honestly the piece looks better in person. The habit of the Fluorite is predominantly cubic, but you can clearly see distinctive classic tetrahexahedral modifications for a nice touch. A very worthwhile and attractive specimen from this well known Fluorite producing district.
