Item Description

Sculptural, deceptive and RARE small cabinet combination from the famous Elmwood Mine. Intergrown, lustrous, stepped-growth, fluorite cubes, to 2.6 cm, with two splendent, metallic-gray, modified galena cubes, to 3.1 cm, are aesthetically placed on the upright silicified limestone matrix. The fluorite cubes appear to be very dark blue to black in normal light, BUT bright lights reveals zones blue translucence and back lighting shows beautiful blue edge phantoms above violet cores! A fine BONUS has RARE small brassy marcasite crystals at the top of the piece and another 2.5 cm galena crystal on the back. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection # 3496 and acquired in 1993. RARE, excellent and very showy combination from the Elmwood Mine.
