A sculptural, rich and showy 3-sided fluorite and galena small cabinet specimen from recent finds at the Diana Maria Mine at the well-known Rogerley Quarry. Gorgeous gem, prominent, larger second generation interpenetrating fluorite cubes, to 1.6 cm, with beautiful emerald-green color highlight the impressive curved front of the piece. A myriad earlier generation of smaller, gemmy to translucent, lighter green cubes with satin luster faces plus numerous contrasting, sharp to etched galena octahedrons, to 1.2 cm, richly and attractively cover all three sides. The back side hosts the larger, sharper galena octahedrons. Bright blue-white fluorescence! Ex Tim Sherburn Collection. An excellent and rich 3-sided combination example from the locale with beautiful large gem crystals. Tim was the longtime prep master for preparing and cleaning specimens from the mine, and kept some choice pieces for himself, as you see here. Very minor dings, only, on close inspection. All three sides display well without aid. Valued $1000-1500.
