Item Description

Classic and excellent large, mounded two-sided combination from the famous mines at Bingham, New Mexico. Intergrown mint-green translucent fluorite cubes, to 3.1 cm on edge, with frosted faces are strikingly flanked on one side with a cluster of galena cubes partially altering to anglesite. The dominated large cube is 2.8 x 2.8 x 2.8 cm. Sparkly rolling drusy quartz covers the other end of the piece. The basal periphery wear has minimal impact to the overall fine quality of the piece. The base has been sawed to enhance the display. Collected by Nick Facciolla in 1977 according to Chet Lemanski's catalogue. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection No. 0483CL and acquired in 1990 from Nick Facciolla. Purple fluorescence. Very showy, sculptural and highly representative large old-time combination material from Bingham.
