Item Description

The Hilton Mine is famous for its specimens of yellow Fluorite, and this large small cabinet specimen is a fine example for the mine. The light, straw-yellow crystals are gemmy, have frosted cores, and they range up to 1.3 cm on edge. Some of the Fluorites even have a rich-amber shading to some of the zones within the crystals. And of course, with the word 'fluorescence' having originated with English Fluorites, the vivid purple fluorescence is exactly what you would hope for and expect. This piece is a fine example of this great locality.
