Item Description

An impressive large fluorite plate from the El Hammam Fluorite Mine of Morocco. Striking, water-clear to translucent, colorless to a steel gray-green cubes to a large 9.5 cm are preferentially accented by quartz crystals and dustings of tiny pyrite crystals. The outer zones of most of the cubes are water-clear, colorless with the interiors providing the striking color. The only contact is on one edge, as the back is totally covered with quartz crystals! Very nifty, and a most unusual, very large, fluorescent combination specimen. 8.4 pounds or 3.8 kilos.
