Fluorite (fluorescent) w/ Dolomite & Quartz (Kay Robertson Coll.)

Item Description

Classic for the locale lustrous and translucent green fluorite cubes are peppered with tiny sparkly quartz crystals and nicely contrasting clusters of oxide-tinted dolomite rhombs. A very fine and aesthetic combination plate from this old fluorite mine. Purple fluorescence. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 3117 and acquired in the 1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
