Item Description
Glorious gem golden-yellow fluorite cubes, to 1.5 cm, cover this sculptural mounded plate from the less well-known mines near Cordoba, Spain. The rich yellow quality of these beauties is on the par with famous English Hilton Mine or German Erzgebirge pieces. Purple fluorescence. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11764 and acquired at the 1989 Tucson Show from the From the Earth dealership. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A very fine example of the species and locale and seldom on the market.
