Item Description
Mineral specimens from this old silver and lead mine (mentioned in a 1562 letter - MINDAT) and later fluroite mine (1940s) are RARE. Lustrous, translucent, mint-green fluorite cubes, to 1.6 cm, covers the quartz crystal rind over the granular quartz matrix. The cubes have frosted faces. The 1.4 cm cube in the center is pristine. Quite a bit of bruising is noted on this piece, but it remains a rare and highly representative combination from this historic old mine. Moderate purple fluorescence. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
