Fluorite (fluorescent) on Quartz

Item Description

Two extremely glassy, elongated fluorite cubes are attractively intergrown on the matrix of lustrous milky quartz and massive fluorite on this showy combinatioin piece. The fluorites, to 5.5 cm, are limpid, colorless to very light gray and have water-clear to frosted faces. You can even see some nifty edge phantoms on the corners of the cubes. The fluorites have only very trivial edge wear. Photography was very difficult, due to the glassiness and transparency of the fluorites. Quartz is not widely recognized or seen from this district. Purple fluorescence for the fluorite. The quartz does not fluoresce.
