Item Description
Fluorites from Erongo can vary greatly in appearance, but the region is renowned for the green and purple Fluorites. Here, there is both a large 3.1 cm cube and a smaller 1.3 cm cube modified by the octahedron. As classic as the Fluorites are, perhaps the most outstanding characteristic is the phenomenal blue fluorescence. I have not seen this shade of royal blue fluorescence before, and especially not in the Erongos. The intergrown, partially-etched Feldspar also fluoresces a reddish-orange. This excellent specimen is above and beyond many Erongos, for the fluorescence and for the attractive form, size, and combination.
