Item Description
Interpenetrating fluorite cubes, to 3.0 cm, form an aesthetic and classic small cabinet from this famous locale. The lustrous and translucent crystals have pretty sea-green color with mostly frosted, stepped-growth faces. Gemmy corners and edges really add pizzazz to this classic piece from a 1993 find. The large crushed limestone Heights Quarry has engulfed some of the famed Heights Mine. Ex Lindsay Greenbank and Kay Roberston Collections (# 12341). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Bright fluorescence, as you would expect.
