Item Description

An aesthetic plate of intergrown fluorite cubes from this well-known Weardale fluorite mined, closed in 1989. The glassy, transparent to translucent colorless cubes, to 2.5 cm, have frosted faces and nifty cloudy interior phantoms. Very nearly pristine. The cube on right has a very gently bruised corner and the cube on the top has a contacted face, with little actual damage. Excellent and classic material from the Cynthia Payne Collection. Rich purple fluorescence. Valued by the former dealer at $350.
