Item Description

A striking and beautiful mint-green, 3.5 x 3.3 x 3.0 cm fluorite cube dominates this aesthetic and sculptural large specimen from the Huangshaping Mine. The numerous very glassy cubes are transparent to translucent and have satin lustre faces. Interior white "clouds" and veils add much character. Essentially pristine, with only very trivial edge wilbers. This mine is known for such mint-green fluorites and this one is way above average for crystal clarity. Purple fluorescence. Specimens from this less well-known skarn and magmatic hydrothermal type Pb-Zn-W-Mo-Ag deposit are RARE compared to the famous and prolific Yaogangxian, Xianghualing and Xianghuapu mines in Chenzhou. Ex Cliff Bourland Collection of Dallas. An outstanding fluorite from this locale. Valued at $1000-1500.
