Item Description

Mineral specimens from this obscure quarry on a small island in Lake Erie are RARE. The sculptural, 3-dimensional limestone matrix hosts well-placed clusters of gem, light straw-yellow fluorite cubes, to 8 mm, and sprays of colorless celestine blades. The striking large blade is 2.3 cm. Very rare, possibly unique and aesthetic combination material from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. A MUST for the locality or species collector. The piece displays well without aid. Ghostly white fluorescence.
