Item Description
Botryoidal Fluorite is rare worldwide and is very uncommon from this famous French Fluorite mine, closed in 1987. This is an impressive, sculptural specimen of bubbly, botryoidal, translucent, deeper than usual sea-green Fluorite. In fact, the Fluorite is multi-generation, as the original matrix is composed of euhedral Fluorite crystals. Excellent blue fluorescence. For the 20 veins within the host gneiss that comprise these mines, this is a very fine, unusual specimen. UNusual and historic, as well as a good fluorite!
