Item Description
Some of the most classic Fluorites for all of the U.S. came from the historic Sunnyside mine in southwestern Colorado. This mine is renown for it's superb pink Rhodochrosite specimens which are sometimes associated with green Fluorites. Typically the fluorites from the Sunnyside mine are octahedral in habit, but this piece exhibits an interesting crystal form showing cubes oriented into octahedral formations. The crystals are a very light green shade, nearly colorless. There are some very minor pale pink Rhodochrosite crystals plus Quartz and sulfides on the base of the specimen as well.
