Item Description
A sharp, translucent, moderately lustrous, honey-brown, fluorite cube is nicely accented with smaller crystals on this showy and excellent example from this well-known locale. Aouli was a major lead-zinc-barite-fluorite deposit, that French companies operated from 1923-1960 (MINDAT). This piece has nice aesthetics and the two spots of noted edge wear are certainly only a modest detraction. This is a classic color and style of Aouli fluorite. Moderate fluorescence.
