Fluorite (fluorescent)

Item Description

These are some of the most distinctive and unique Chinese fluorite specimens that we have seen. They have a very interesting color which in reflected light shows a golden-yellow hue, but with transmitted light, one can see a brighter/richer golden-amber color. Upon close inspection, one can see that the large mounded piece is covered with sharp, distinct, interpenetrating, gemmy cubic crystals. This is certainly uncommon for fluorite, and really stands out amongst the wide variety of Chinese fluorites that have come out over the last 10-12 years. The back has been sawed to enhance the display. Moderate whitish fluorescence. 4.4 pounds or 2 kilos.
