Fluorite (excellent color)

In recent years, the Riemvasmaak Fluorites have found their way into the top tier of worldwide contemporary Fluorites. The iconic, desirable green color is certainly eye-catching and when you combine it with the larger sized octahedra and their fine gemminess, you get some great display specimens. This small cabinet sized specimen features a pair of very sharp, textbook, gemmy, lovely green color octahedral crystals free of matrix. On the display side, I really don't see any damage of note, but the back is not crystallized where it was removed from the pocket wall. The largest Fluorite octahedron measures 3.9 cm across. We had this piece priced at $1,200 in the inventory for the size, color, quality and gemminess of the Fluorites.
