The famous Walworth Quarry (Dolomite Products Co. Inc. Quarry) about 20 miles east of Rochester, New York is the source of some of the finest GEM quality Fluorite crystals from any locality in the United States, or arguably the world. Long before the famous "ice cube" colorless Fluorites were coming out of Dalnegorsk, Russia, many collectors (especially on the East Coast) had seen specimens of equal quality from the Walworth Quarry. The best of these crystals are 100% WATER CLEAR and range from colorless to soft blue and lilac hues. Here we have a superb quality faceted stone from this beloved locale with an excellent "Modified Octagonal Star Brilliant" cut with a very soft blue color and nearly eye clean clarity.
