Item Description

The unusual color here is a really nice, dark amber yellow; and the well formed crystals are stacked on each other. Intergrown cubes of slightly frosted, moderately lustrous, translucent fluorite, to 4 cm across totally cover a shale matrix.Some minor digs here and there, but overall in remarkably good shape. Such pieces are gettign harder to find every year since the mines closed, but this was Classic older Illinois material for a long time before then, anyhow. Valued $750-900
